Working in collaboration with the Institute for Safe Autonomy at York University IOU’s remote controlled sculpture The Wheel will be mounted with sensors enabling the Institute to record and research responses to automated vehicles in public spaces.

Part of York’s Festival of Ideas this exhibition looks at the work of the Safe Autonomy Institute and how they are helping to create safe use of these technologies in society

Alongside The Wheel you can watch an arial drone demonstration, find out about automated cars, operate a robotic assistance arm and discover an Augmented Reality Sandbox
