IOU Hebden Bridge Hostel Open Day and Exhibition Launch

The IOU Hostel joins our neighbours Pennine Heritage at the Birchcliffe Centre for a special Open Day as part of Heritage Open Days 2023   

Join us from 11AM for the launch of Artist in Resident, Beth Cockcroft’s In The Flesh exhibition, ‘Connection to Nature’.  Participate in a Mindful Drawing Workshop and take an informal tour of the hostel to see artworks from previous IOU shows and Artists in Residence. 

Manchester based female art collective In The Flesh create and present art and music events, showcasing emerging artists and encouraging audiences to participate. Connection to Nature is the first of a three-part series with the theme Connection – to each other; to nature; and to ourselves. Join us for this new exhibition featuring work from artists based across Calderdale, Manchester and the North.

Mindful Drawing Workshops
1-2pm and 3-4pm FREE

Artist in Resident, Beth Cockcroft, will lead two Mindful Drawing Workshops based on her artwork ‘Connection to Nature’, inspired by the gardens and woodlands and her time at the hostel.  All materials are provided. 

Spaces are on a 1st come basis so please arrive 10-15mins before start time.
