Sculptor Jim Bond, a regular collaborator with IOU, hosted a Masterclass at the IOU Studio, Dean Clough in July 2022
Participants travelled from around the country to join the Masterclass, with varied levels of experience across a range of making skills, from stained-glass to ceramics, but with a clear vision for their final kinetic artwork.
Participants learned basic welding skills alongside riveting, soldering and angle grinding to cut, fit and realise their artwork, and a range of materials including metal tubing, rods and wire attached to a small direct current motor.
