Discover the world of miniature dioramas as you design and craft three individual miniature sculptures alongside fellow participants, contributing to a collaborative artwork.

Guided by Georgia’s fascination with capturing everydays scenes in miniature form, you’ll learn about the tools, techniques and intricacies of sculpting with polymer clay and cardboard.

In this two hour session, themes around the concept of Banquet. Georgia will provide a model dining table and guide you step by step through the process of designing and creating your own culinary dishes and chairs to dress the table ready for a feast.

Each attendee will have the opportunity to make two miniature food dishes and a custom designed chair.  At the end of the session, everyone will be invited to assemble their dishes and pull up their chairs to the banquet table to form the final collective artwork.

At the end of the session participants can transform their miniature sculptures into functional keepsakes by incorporating key rings or magnets before taking them home.

Georgia D’Silva
Georgia’s practice is to create small-scale dioramas exhibiting them as interdisciplinary sculptures. Dealing with notions of memory and place her work has assimilated dollhouse rooms, whilst being devoid of figures, asking the viewer to interact inquisitively and playfully. Having recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the University of Leeds, she is using her time with IOU to explore a new community through making, and to experiment further with the fusion of art and technology
