Hebden Bridge Hostel

IOU begin a new venture in Hebden Bridge.

Introducing our new  Hostel.

We’re excited to announce that IOU will be managing the newly refurbished, independent Hebden Bridge Hostel.  Our aim is to provide inclusive and accessible opportunities for everyone to stay, create and learn through a developing activity programme covering creative arts, nature, the outdoors, health and wellbeing. The hostel is not for profit and surplus funds will be reinvested into IOU’s work across Calderdale.

Set in woodland and gardens just above the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge, the hostel is part of the historic Birchcliffe Centre site, currently under development as a new cultural and community center with exhibition, theatre and co working spaces. Sitting close to the Pennine Way and with excellent transport links the hostel offers contemporary comfortable and affordable accommodation across a range of ensuite rooms and self catering vegetarian kitchen facilities.

As well as welcoming visitors, the hostel will provide space to expand IOU’s artist development programme : Space Time Tools Advice, creating ways to help artists develop their practice in private and shared spaces, as part of a  creative community.

The hostel is available for private / sole use with a range of spaces suitable for events, workshops or retreats.
