The romance between the couple living in the full size Swiss style weatherhouse was doomed to failure; they could never meet. The woman only came out of the house when it was sunny, and the man only when it rained.

Accompanied by haunting music, the show was told by them in alternating tales – with the weather reflecting their doomed love affair. Roy dreamed of turning potatoes into diamonds, whilst Ruby found only a pot of red herrings at the end of the rainbow. A flow of songs and stories kept the tension high, exacerbated by Rover the bad tempered, motorised dog that guarded the house – even from its owners.

Woman is stood, looking at the camera, with red hair that sits at chin length, she has a fringe and is wearing a floral patterned dress.
A woman looks up at a balcony, she is holding a briefcase. The balcony is wooden and has flowers on each of the spindles to the front.
