Anna Kime – PhD Researcher ‘IOU at 50’
Anna Kime is an artist and cultural policy practitioner based in Sheffield. She works part time as the Policy Officer for Centre for Cultural Value where she maintains a dialogue with local, regional and National policymakers on the Centre’s research themes and findings that seek to articulate the value of culture.
Anna has been a long-time champion of applied research and development. She has worked in senior Lottery funding positions, leading strategies for film culture in Greater London and the North of England.
Her portfolio career, including freelance evaluation, training provision and sector development is motivated by the perpetual precarity of employment in the creative sectors. Her primary interests are in the genuine articulation of the value working creatively brings and keeping the health and outlook of the individual practitioner at the heart of strategic decision-making.
These preoccupations surrounding notions of care and responsibility are explored at depth in her sculptural and creative writing practice.
Anna was a founding Trustee for RivelinCo in Hillsborough, is a Yorkshire Artspace member and a fundraising volunteer for a number of community care charities and groups in Sheffield.
She is an Industry Champion for Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre and part of the Technical Reference Group for the evaluation of Bradford City of Culture 2025.
