Babylon Gamelan 27-30May 2025
Standing four metres tall, made from recycled materials and found objects, and inspired by the Tower of Babel, ‘Babylon Gamelan is a joyous mechanical sound sculpture and interactive percussive installation’. Created by Rag & Bone artist Dave Young, Babylon Gamelan landed at our Studio during its final stages of development we knew we’d love to be able to host it to the public here at IOU

Cairn Building & Decorating Session
30 May 2025 -Join IOU Artist in Residence Esk (Stewart Knights) for a relaxed drop in session where we will get creative with rocks, stones and stories, building a community cairn in the IOU Studio.

Two Rivers
Sculptural Sound Installation, fusing woodcuts, sculpture, technology, spoken word, and sound art to explore themes of evolution, heritage, legacy – the circle of life, the passage of time, the cycles of nature.

The Wheel
The Wheel is a mobile stage production and giant moving, remote-controlled sculpture. Within a gleaming self-propelled hub-less wheel, a miniature character walks inside, on a seemingly epic journey. IOU's new interactive stage production has been presented at Culturedale Opening Celebration and at York University's Festival of Ideas
